- a system on the internet that will display your banner on other people's sites while displaying banners on your site. There is usually a ration involved in the number of times you have to display a banner on your site before it will display on another persons site. A very good ration is 1:1. |

CSS |
- Cascading Style Sheets involves coding information into a file or web page that will control the appearance of all of your web pages. If you use an external file, you can change your page backgrounds, font style, link colors, etcetera all in one document and it changes all of your web pages without having to go into each web page to do it. The file always has an extention of .css. |

double opt-in |
- signing up for a mailing list that requires confirmation by clicking on a link that you've received in an email. It's called double opt-in because first the person signed up for the mailing list then they confirmed that they wanted to be on the mailing list in the confirmation letter. |

- members that have joined an organization because of being referred by you. You would be considered the team leader or sponsor for those individuals. |

- the best way to explain it would be to say it's the same as your home address on the internet. If a person wants to send you a letter over the internet, they need your email address. The format looks like this:

- you can submit your site information to thousands of directories all at one time for free. In most cases the information is distributed throughout the entire network which can be huge and others will start sending you their information. Some search engines will not crawl the web sites unless they have meta tags. |

- Pay Per Click Search Engine involves submitting keywords and bidding for placement in the search engine's results pages. - a term used to describe a process of improving the volume of traffic to a web site from search engines. Many individuals engaging in SEO attempt to pursue qualified visitors to a site, and the quality of visitor traffic can be measured by how often a visitor using a specific keyword or phrase leads to a desired conversion action, such as making a purchase, viewing or downloading something, requesting further information, signing up for something, or taking some other specific action.

You have to view a certain number of pages in order to get a certain amount of credits that are used to display your pages. An excellent ratio is 1:1 which is usually given to members that have upgrade to the highest level in the program. |

- decompresss (also called extract) or compress a file using a software package that's designed to perform both functions. Compressed files take up less space on your computer, but you can't run it (software) or open it (text files & documents, etc.) while it is compressed. |

Little bits of programming that make your site more visitor friendly. Have you ever been to a site and they had a Guest Book, Counter, Photo Center, Mini Poll, Vote Caster, etc. These are considered web tools.
